There are some major flaws that the Nomad has for one it does not show live TV, it only downloads 20 hours for programming and it does not work on as many mobile devices as the sling adapter does. The Sling adapter is $50 less that DirecTV's Nomad and you cant get live TV and your restricted on programing. Working for DISH Network I would like to add DISH Network is now offering the sling adapter free.
